Day 6 took us from Ermioni to Poros, another full stage of the Greek Islands Paddle to Cure ALS and another day of moving together across the water.
By this point in the journey, the rhythm of the expedition has become familiar: preparing the boards, getting on the water, staying together as a group and continuing toward the next stop.
Another day on the water
The route toward Poros gave us another chance to experience the Saronic Gulf from the boards, with the support boats close by and the team working together through every part of the journey.
There are moments when the effort feels demanding, but there are also moments when you simply look around and realise how fortunate we are to be sharing this experience together.
A warm welcome in Poros
When we arrived in Poros, the day was not over. We were welcomed with incredible warmth and hospitality, and the evening became a celebration of the journey, the people behind it and the purpose that brought us here.
The welcome in Poros was a reminder that this expedition is not only about the miles we cover. It is also about the communities we meet, the people who support us and the moments of connection that happen along the way.
An evening together
Music and dancing brought a joyful close to the day. After hours of paddling, moments like these remind us that friendship, hospitality and shared experiences are also an important part of this journey.
More than paddling
We came to Greece to paddle for ALS, but this journey has become much more than a route between islands. It is about friendship, teamwork, awareness and bringing people together around a shared cause.
A huge thank you to the Municipality of Poros for the wonderful welcome and hospitality. It was a very special way to finish another day of the expedition.
One Journey. Two Countries. Together for ALS.
